Alix Tucou inizia le lezioni di pianoforte all'età di 5 anni per poi iniziare a praticare il trombone tenore a 10 per specializzarsi finalmente nel trombone basso all'età di 21 anni con cui ha terminato i suoi studi di musica classica a Bordeaux (Francia ).
È a questo punto che la sua pratica si estende alla musica elettrica e all'improvvisazione.
Dal 1999, dal reggae al funk, finisce per suonare e interpretare la musica di Frank Zappa (LPJZ feat Ike Willis). Ha anche partecipato alla creazione di un collettivo di musica elettronica (United Fools), pur continuando le sessioni dell'Orchestra Sinfonica (Bordeaux, Bayonne) e produzioni musicali per il teatro e molteplici progetti di musica elettronica. Dal 2008 è conosciuto come artista di strada, sia con una banda di ottoni metal (Pastors of Muppets) che con un balletto di strada irreale e fantastico (Ulik et le SNOB -Glisssssssssendo). Ha anche realizzato progetti musicali Progressive-Metal (Year of no Light, Bagarre Générale) e ha suonato musica Jazz (Eole Brass Band). Ha avuto la grande fortuna di suonare con quei progetti in tutta Europa, Medio Oriente, Africa, Asia e America.
Nel 2013 decide di trasferirsi a Montreal in Canada per studiare Esecuzione di Trombone Basso nel Repertorio Orchestrale al fine di migliorare la sua tecnica generale con David R. Martin, dove ottiene il Master Degree nel 2014.
Questo soggiorno a Montreal gli ha permesso di estendere i suoi vari stili di suonare e improvvisare suonando sue composizioni di musica jazz moderna e dopo tutto incontrando grandi esseri umani con una creatività incredibilmente versatile.
Si stabilisce quindi a New York nel 2016 con frequenti viaggi in Europa per esibirsi e continua a sviluppare la sua musicalità e le sue esperienze con tutto ciò che la Grande Mela ha da offrire a un artista, dalle esibizioni in metropolitana ai più prestigiosi club e sale da concerto della Città. che non dorme mai.
He then settle in New York in 2016 for an Advanced Diploma in Music Performance under the direction of Achilles Liarmakopoulos (Canadian Brass) with frequent trip to Europe to perform and continues to develop his musicianship and experiences with all that the Big Apple has to offer to a full-time musician from subway performances to the most prestigious clubs and concert hall of the City that never sleeps from Hot Jazz from 20's and 30's to Cutting Edge Contemporary Music Music Performances.
It is during this stay that he recorded his first “Technology And Bones” Album.
2021 is under the sign of “Portraits” , his brand new album to be released in July.
With this album he changes he puts himself as a painter capable of painting musical portraits.
This modus operandi places the figure of the musician in close relationship with the figure of a visual artist who does not use colors and canvases but a bass trombone and soundscapes.
